Till Your Spirit for God

He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread, but he who follows frivoliy is devoid of understanding.

- Proverbs 12:11 NKJV

Working hard is assurance to knowing you'll be able to have your needs met. On the other hand, giving attention to unnecessary and foolish things, you'll come to find it hard to be able to understand as to why things aren't working out how you want them to.

Tilling your land is being diligent and doing what you need to. As faithful believers, that means doing God's Work and in return, God provides us our needs. Going out to work when we need to, completing a step towards a goal, reading the Bible are all examples of tilling our land. We're preparing and maintaining our spirits to do God's Work. And because of this, we experience such comfort, peace and joy in life that we have no worries because we know that God is with us.  

Allowing useless and foolish things in our lives causes us to lose track of what we are to be doing. Things such as celebrity rumors and gossip, scrolling through social media feed are numbing to being able to understand the important things in life, such as God's message and the life He wants us to live. Many people are caught up in the useless celebrity gossip, which has no affect on their lives. Most of it is garbage and distracts people from living their full lives all because they idolize and are worried about this other person's life. 

Just being caught up in this person's life shows how they will always keep you away from understanding what is needed in your life to find peace. Often, the nonsense hinders God's children from fully committing to God and that of course doesn't allow understanding. There is so much going on in the world, so much evil and wickedness that people following the frivolity are unable to see how much is going on. Trying to talk to people about such about God and the spiritual warfare in this world becomes hard because they haven't tilled their spirits, instead have followed the frivolity of the world which doesn't provide the understanding that God provides. 

Of course, as God's faithful, we have to be patient with others and we are to love others no matter what. It can become a saddening thing to know that some don't want to be saved. However, we are to never give up hope and as God has instructed, we are to help when we can, to share His message when we can, no matter what because you never know that could be the message that the person needed to hear to find salvation.

Don't fret when it comes to having to do things you don't want to, if it's necessary, think of doing it for God and it'll become that much easier. Till your spirit to live in righteousness and God will bless you. It's okay to take a break and God will guide you, but never allow your spirit to strictly indulge in frivolity as it is damaging to your understanding.
