Lying Tongues are Dangerous to God and His People

A lying tongue hates those who are crushed by it, and a flattering mouth works ruin.

    - Proverbs 26:28 NKJV

A lying tongue is lying through the fact that it despises those who it is committing such lies to. We all know it’s not good to lie, but we have been doing it since we were young. Truth sets all of us free and though in the moment it may not seem beneficial, overtime it is because it can help you live a truthful life knowing things are what they are. 

Another way to interpret the first part of this verse is that the righteous ones of God are crushed by the lies told by a person because as believers in God know not to lie. Therefore, such an action is met with much reproach by the faithful. In short, the lying tongue hates the righteous ones of God. 

For whatever reason, when you look in today’s world, you see that lying is all over the media. The media is that lying tongue which is trying to push a new order on the masses of people. Whoever is behind such plans are despiteful of God’s chosen people, the masses, of which many fall prey to the media lies; they accept the lies instead of rejecting and condemning the lies against God’s Law. God cast Satan and a third of the angels out of heaven to earth, and this earth is their domain for the moment. They are the masterminds behind the lying tongue to control and subdue the masses, whom are God’s people.

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

    - 2 Corinthians 4:4 NKJV

Flattering is deception, it please the truth in dishonesty. So it's similar to the lying tongue, except that it takes lying to another level, it's puffery. It gives praise to all the falsehoods, which sets things in such a puffed up lie in falsehood and imagination, that it becomes a dangerous reality. Pertaining back to the media's lying tongue, it's a constant flattering, so it's a pleasing, yet dishonest life that they are trying to get us to live; a life which is against God.

That being said, protect yourself from the lying tongue and flattering mouth of Satan and walk in truth with God.
